What changed

Moved into a single list of exempt persons. Funds and institutions approved under 10(23C)(iv)–(via) are not in this list; since FA 2024 they migrate to registration, and registered non-profit organisations are governed by sections 332–355.

Practice notes

  • The CBDT table prints 10(29A)(c) Tea Board as S.No. 5; the correct serial is 35.
  • 10(23C)(iiiad)/(iiiae) small institutions are one entry (S.No. 19), still subject to the aggregate receipts limit.

These are summaries, not the statutory text. Read the bare Act for both sections on the Income Tax Department's official site, which also has a side-by-side comparison utility.
